After working at Raytheon, he founded the Hittite Microwave Corporation in 1985. The company was acquired by Analog Devices in 2014.
Ayasli is founder and chairman of two US public charitable organizations; Turkish Cultural Foundation and Turkish Coalition of America. Both organizations have offices in Boston, Washington, D.C. and Istanbul.
Ayasli received B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Middle East Technical University in 1968 and M.S.E.E. and Sc.D. degrees from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1973.
